EMILEE TOMINOVICH SIGNED TO FULL-SEASON TCA EFFORT
MULTIPLE-TIME PWC CHAMPIONS COMPASS RACING LAUNCH 2015 TCA HONDA PROGRAM
TORONTO, CA —Compass Racing will return for its fifth consecutive season in the Pirelli World Challenge in 2015, and released details of the team’s first driver signing for its expanded PWC Touring Car program. After four years in the TC class, the team will update its winning Honda Civic Si’s to fit new regulations which move the Honda platform to TCA. Emilee Tominovich has been signed to drive the team’s No.72 Children’s Tumor Foundation car.
COMPASS RACING LAUNCHES NEW STREET TUNER PROGRAM WITH AUDI
LAS VEGAS, NV — Long-time IMSA Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge competitor Compass Racing today released details of its 2015 sportscar program, which will see the team debuting a Street Tuner-class effort with the recently-launched Audi S3.
“We’re really excited to finally announce this new program,” enthused Team Principal Karl Thomson. “It’s something (Technical Director) Ray Lee and I have been working on since March of last year, when I first sat down with the Audi folks at Sebring.”

MANSFIELD, OH — From the drop of the green flag to the waving of the checkered the battle for the top spot in Touring Car at Mid-Ohio raged between Michael DiMeo and Adam Poland. Lap after lap, and sometimes corner to corner, the two young drivers swapped places for the lead, keeping the large Saturday crowd on their feet and enthralled. Both used lapped traffic to gain an advantage over their rival, with dramatic passes being taken by each, often with less than an inch or two between the cars as they went side-by-side through Madness and the Carousel.

The pair finished second in the 2013 Street Tuner (ST) point standings, with Eversley also second in the 2011 championship. He has 12 career podium finishes in the series, with and earned his third career Continental Tire Challenge victory at Watkins Glen International in June.

Local artist Jeff Hanson — who was commissioned to create the piece of original art that adorns the GS-class #76 Subaru, as well as the team’s ST-class #75 Honda Civic Si helmed by Gimple and Eversley — will be celebrated at the event, along with an entourage of family, friends and other local-area NF Heroes.

And this year, the excitement is increased as this will be the first weekend of racing under the new, combined sanctioning body formed by the merging of Grand-Am and the American Le Mans Series. Now named IMSA, a name that reflects decades of sportscar history in North America, it oversees a diverse collection of racing series, including the new TUDOR United Sportscar Championship (TUSC), the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge (CTSCC), and a number of development series, including the Ferrari Challenge, all of which are on the cards at Daytona.
