ROAD AMERICA WRECK ENDS OUR GS-CHAMPIONSHIP HOPES

Audi S3 has best showing of the season in ST.

Elkhart Lake, WI – A solid qualifying effort and great race start by Paul Holton in our No.76 Ford Mustang weren't enough to avoid a second-lap melee with a hard-charging Porsche Cayman, which ended with the Mustang on its side, next to another Porsche on it's roof in the challenging Canada Corner at Road America.

This SPEED footage shows the aftermath of the incident. Both Holton and the driver of the turtled Cayman were treated at infield medical and released, both fine. Unfortunately, it moved the No.76 down to fourth in the GS-class championship points, with little chance of gaining ground with just three races remaining in the season.

Meanwhile, our ST-class Audi S3's notched their best race of the season, with our No.74 car finishing sixth at the hands of Jim McGuire and Nico Rondet. Nico had a spirited battle as he moved throughout the field twice, a result of our strategy call, knowing the Audis would need two solid stops at a track that sees the cars consuming more fuel than anywhere else the series visits.

Roy Block and Jayson Clunie had a solid run in the No.75 Audi, which saw Jayson's return to the Continental Tire series since 2012, when he won the championship title with then co-driver Pierre Kleinubing.

Great pit work by the C360R crew seeing lots of action!
