KEVIN YORK AND COMPASS RACING UNLEASH UNIQUE MARKETING PARTNER

Kevin York and Compass360 Racing ‘Unleash’ Unique Marketing Partner

“The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein had me riveted to its pages
until the book was finished ... Just read it.”—Peter Egan, Road & Track Magazine

So far in the 2008 Grand-Am Koni Series, Compass360’s Acura TSX #75 has been racing around the track with a mysterious marketing partner—a logo that simply reads ‘GoEnzo.com.’ We’re pleased to finally be able to reveal that the sponsor behind the logo is novelist (and racing fan) Garth Stein. GoEnzo.com is the website for his new novel, THE ART OF RACING IN THE RAIN.

THE ART OF RACING IN THE RAIN is narrated by Enzo Swift, a loyal family dog who has educated himself about the world by listening very closely to the words of his master, Denny Swift, an up-and-coming race car driver, and those of his favorite racer, Aryton Senna. He’s learned that by using techniques needed on the race track, one can successfully navigate all of life’s ordeals—your car goes where your eyes go.

Stein is a former racecar driver himself, which led to his decision to get the word out about this book by sponsoring a racecar—an unusual move for a writer. But Compass360’s Acura #75 is not just any racecar. The driver, Kevin York, is Stein’s good friend and the real-life inspiration for the character of Denny Swift.

THE ART OF RACING IN THE RAIN is available wherever books are sold (including Amazon.com) or at Starbucks stores across the country. Additionally, driver Kevin York will be handing out a limited number of books at each of his races this summer. His next appearance will be May 23-26, Memorial Day weekend, at Lime Rock Park, CT.
