FIRST PLACE AT ROAD AMERICA

Successful first GT4 weekend in Wisconsin nets two first-place finishes

Our first of two weekends at the famed Elkhart Lake circuit saw Ray Mason take wins on both Saturday and Sunday, in our team’s first GT Celebration event.

GT Celebration is a new series helmed by long-time racer Rob Morgan, featuring GT3 and GT4 cars at primarily west-coast tracks. The exception for 2020 was the Road America event, which is the farthest east the series goes. It provided an ideal opportunity for extra seat time and tuning in advance of not only the SRO GT4 America races the following week, but also is where the SCCA National Runoffs will be held in October. Ray Mason, aboard our No.74 Ebullition Brew Works McLaren 570S GT4, ran smoothly in practice and qualifying, making the most of nearly every minute of the 480-minutes on track afforded by the series.

Come Saturday’s race, Ray took an early lead over the Porsche in second place, and never looked back. On Sunday, the battle was very close, with Mason pipping the Cayman GT4 at the line. Our McLaren ran flawlessly from beginning to end, setting fastest lap in both races; a testament to our crew and our driver. Furthermore, our team really enjoyed the GT Celebration and look forward to joining them for more events in the near future.
