DB/C360R MAKES HISTORY WITH DOUBLE-PODIUM SWEEP

Durabond/Compass360 Racing made series history this weekend by sweeping the podium on both Saturday and Sunday races in the Castrol Canadian Touring Car Championship.

Championship leader Anthony Rapone, in the team's #72 Honda Civic Si, took pole position and led Saturday's race one from start to finish, with second-place man Karl Thomson bringing his #71 car home in P2. San Franciscan Greg Liefooghe, who also drives the team's #77 Honda in Grand-Am Continental Tire Sport Car Challenge competition, was signed to round out the trio in car #73, and he placed third.

On Sunday, Thomson got a great start to get ahead of Rapone into corner two and managed to stay ahead of his team-mate, with the three once again finishing 1-2-3 (Thomson, Rapone, Liefooghe). No team in the history of the series has managed such a feat, and it's a testament to the strong work of our Canadian squad, led by Kenneth "Turtle" Lau and Andre Rapone.
