COMPASS360 AT JENKINS ACURA: A BIG HIT WITH CUSTOMERS

Ocala, FL – Despite the fact it was a cloudy, cool, bleak Tuesday in late January, there was a constant stream of customers and prospects dropping into the beautiful new showroom at Jenkins Acura in Ocala to see Compass360's Acura TSX and RSX-S race cars.

Pierce Fleming, Acura Sales Manager at Jenkins stated, "Our objective was for our customers to see how little difference there really is between a Grand-Am KONI Challenge Acura race car and the car they can buy direct from our showroom floor. Having the cars on show sure made this point clear!"

Billy Johnson, co-driver of the #76 Acura TSX race car, was on hand to answer questions and show off the cars. Compass360 Racing's VP Marketing, Phil Thomson, gave a presentation about the Grand-Am series, highlighting the team's involvement in the KONI Challenge, while crew members Petr Havelka and Matt Arnone kept the cars looking great.

"I was really impressed with how good the cars looked in the showroom," said Jeff Wolfson, Jenkins' General Manager. "Billy and the team did a great talking with our customers throughout the day and evening and answering questions while showing off the cars. Best of all, during this traditionally slow sales period, we had a great sales day."

Thomson noted, "This was the first of a number of Acura Dealer Customer Events that we plan to run in during the Grand-Am KONI Challenge season. This year we really want to take advantage of the fact that Compass360 is a recognized leader in Brand Marketing in North America, and so we wanted to make our contribution to improving the visibility of both Grand-Am KONI Challenge series and Acura in return for the excellent support that we receive from them." "I'm happy to report that on race day, Friday January 26th, our #76 Acura (complete with Jenkins dealer plates) and driven by Billy Johnson and his co-driver Karl Thomson was very successful," continued Thomson. "Although we started the race second last in a field of 104 cars, we finished the three-hour endurance race at Daytona International Speedway in 1st in our ST Class, passing over 70 cars in the process - some truly great driving in a really great car - the Acura TSX."

"I'd like to thank all the folks who came into the dealership and wished us good luck," said Johnson, "and thanks to the suggestion by one of the Jenkins salesmen that folks should have a picture with the winning driver – that was a real boost to for the team going into the race on Friday." Obviously, it worked.
