April 30 / May 1st, 2005 David Ciekiewicz started his CASC season off with aplomb, taking second, third and fourth in the first three races of the Ontario Regional Championship. Dave's signed with Compass360/Racing to run the entire regional schedule in one of our BMW Z3 Coupes. However, this weekend was a conflict with Grand Am Cup's Laguna Seca event, so we made arrangements with our friend Michael Thornley, who made his World Challenge Integra Type S available to us for the weekend. (Thanks, Mike! ;-)
The weekend was a mix of rain and sun, and Dave did a great job of navigating constantly changing track conditions throughout the event, brining the Acura home unscathed after every outing. We're looking forward to the May 14/15 event, where Dave will have a chance to race one of the BMWs against Crew Chief Ian McQuillan in our other car. It should make for some really good racing and in-car footage.
